Welcoming Antonio to edSocMe
I’m happy to welcome Antonio Viva as a contributor to edSocialMedia. Antonio is the Associate Head of School at Worcester Academy in Worcester, MA, where he previously served as CIO. He is a self described “tech savvy zen Daddio,” and is an early champion of using social media in the classroom. Antonio brings an experienced on the ground academic and administrative perspective. He wrote his first post on the Web 2.0 directory Go2Web2.0.
In addition to writing about social media use in schools, Antonio will be part of the panel at the edSocialMedia bootcamp at MKA in February. Among other topics, he will be giving a behind the curtain look at WA Mash, a social media filled, student contribution driven site that is part of Antonio’s junior and senior creative writing elective at WA.
Antonio also blogs on his site antonioviva.com, where you can (and should!) check out his latest post: a video of his terrific presentation from the TABS conference – 21st Century CIOs for 21st Century Schools.
We appreciate Antonio’s interest in helping to make edSocMe a resource for schools looking to incorporate social media into their curriculum.

Thanks Steve! Looking forward to being able to contribute.
