Workshop Format
The morning session will kick off with a keynote that focuses on foundational social media ideas and case studies.
Andy Shaindlin, Executive Director, Caltech Alumni Association & Elizabeth Allen, Associate Director, Caltech Alumni Association will follow with their leader-led discussion that explores:

Elizabeth Allen is associate director of alumni relations at the Caltech Alumni Association in Pasadena, California. At Caltech, she manages strategies for integrating Internet-based social media tools and traditional alumni relations practices, to engage alumni in person and online. She is also the author of Adaptivate, a blog focused on social media and communications.
Working with your team:
- generate a minimum of 8 tweets spread out over two hours posted to #edsocialmedia.
- write two, well crafted articles for the blog (between 450 – 750 words)
- create a photoset in Flickr of 10 photos
- post a brief (around 2 minutes) video for YouTube
