I recently read this great piece from George Couros (@gcouros) and liked the 5 ways that he sees social media’s impact on education:

  1. It’s free.
  2. It cuts down on isolation.
  3. Building tolerance and understanding of cultural diversity.
  4. It can amplify passions.
  5. The world of educations is (and needs to be) more open.

As George says “… education is based on relationships” and that social media can help bring our world together.

I highly encourage you to read his full post here: http://georgecouros.ca/blog/archives/1860
